Championship Game: Laredo, TX 0, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 5

In the battle for the Championship, Taoyuan City, Taiwan beat Laredo, TX 5-0 to win the 2022 Palomino World Series.

Taoyuan City got on the board in the top of the first inning. Singles by Hsun-Chieh Lee and Jia-Le Chen gave them a 2-0 lead.

Hsun-Chieh Lee’s bat was still hot in the top of the third. With runners on first and second, his fly ball home run furthered Taoyuan City’s lead to 5-0.

Defense was major in the remaining four innings, as neither team was able to score any runs. Laredo’s pitchers pitched a total of four strikeouts, and Taoyuan City’s pitching staff had 10 strikeouts in this Championship matchup.

This 5-0 win makes Taoyuan City’s fourth Championship win.
